About this program
The Coherent/II-VI Foundation’s Block-Gift Program provides institutional funding for research and educational initiatives focused primarily on developing the next generation of engineers, scientists, and mathematicians. Funding is distributed in two installments during an annual cycle, with opportunities for both new and renewal projects. Eligible applicants are institutions submitting the current application by February 15; projects must include students and prioritize student education, while postdoctoral efforts are generally not supported. Funded programs must submit a student-composed progress report, budget reconciliation, and, for new topics, a two-page research concept summary by September 1.
