Collaborative Research Action (Heritage-Climate CRA) on Cultural Heritage and Climate

The Joint Programming Initiatives on Cultural Heritage and Global Change and Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe (JPI CH and JPI Climate), in partnership with the Belmont Forum, are launching a Collaborative Research Action (CRA) to fund transnational research addressing challenges at the interface of cultural heritage and climate change; the full call text and thematic annexes will be published in mid‑April 2023. Participating funding organizations from multiple countries (e.g., Austria, Brazil, France, UK, US, Türkiye and others) will publish their specific support details and interested applicants can sign up for email updates and a launch webinar. Proposals must be submitted by a Research Consortium comprising at least three participants from three different countries with interdisciplinary partners, and each consortium must request funding from at least three participating funders. Final eligibility and funding conditions depend on each participating funding organization’s specific rules; the call closes in early September 2023.
