Collaborative Research Awards Program

About this program

The Academic Pediatric Association’s Collaborative Research Awards Program provides two-year funding for collaborative pediatric research conducted by teams spanning at least two academic institutions, with up to 80% of funds available for salary support. The current funding path focuses on primary care strategies to promote early literacy and early childhood development, particularly for vulnerable children. Applicants must form two mentor-mentee pairs, each comprising an early-career investigator and mentor at separate collaborating institutions, with emphasis on team diversity and early-career investigator development. Letters of intent or initial proposals are accepted from June 1 through October 1, 2026.
