Community Investment Program

About this program

The Montana Community Foundation, with support from Grid United, offers Community Investment Program grants of up to $50,000 for innovative projects improving quality of life and strengthening communities in Rosebud, Custer, and Fallon counties and the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. The program supports projects addressing community needs, economic and community development, collaboration, and broad local impact, with application deadlines of May 1 and November 1, 2026. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits and government entities, including tribal governments and school districts; non-501(c)(3) organizations may qualify by contacting the program director. Individuals and for-profit entities are ineligible unless applying through an eligible fiscal sponsor, and grants must benefit the designated communities.
