About this program
California’s Strategic Growth Council offers $52 million through the Community Resilience Centers Round 2 Implementation Grants to support facility construction, retrofits, campus amenities, pre-development, and year-round services that strengthen community resilience to climate and other emergencies. Awards are expected to range from $1 million to $10 million for projects completed over six years, with no matching funds required.
Eligible lead applicants include California-based Tribes, tribal nonprofits, 501(c)(3) nonprofits, public agencies, and other qualified public or community entities, with projects located in California. Applications must include at least two partners, including at least one community-based organization when the lead applicant is not a CBO, and must include signed governance and commitment documents; applications are due September 25, 2026.
