Conference Support Grants

About this program

The National Coalition of Independent Scholars (NCIS) offers $599 Conference Support Grants to help members participate actively in professional conferences, performances, installations, and virtual events, including related caregiving expenses. Applicants must be presenting, organizing, moderating, serving on a panel, performing, or exhibiting, and the event must occur after the award decision date. Eligibility requires full NCIS membership—or leadership of an affiliated partner group—in good standing for at least 15 consecutive months, with no other $599 NCIS grant received within the preceding 18 months. Applications are due February 1, June 1, or October 1 for spring, summer, or fall awards, respectively.
