Conservation Guest Scholars

About this program

The Getty Conservation Institute’s Conservation Guest Scholars Program supports established cultural heritage conservation professionals pursuing independent research that brings new knowledge and perspectives to the field. Selected scholars receive a three-month residency at the Conservation Institute, access to Getty research collections, and opportunities to engage with the Getty’s scholarly community. Applicants must have attained distinction in cultural heritage conservation and submit a project proposal, abridged curriculum vitae, and selected bibliography. Applications are due October 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Los Angeles time.
