Convention Childcare Grant Program

About this program

The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) offers grants of up to $250 to help members offset childcare costs associated with participating in its annual convention. Eligible expenses include babysitting in the convention city or home location and travel, lodging, or airfare for a caregiver accompanying a child; funds are provided after the convention and do not cover the child’s travel or the attendee’s convention expenses. Applicants must be regular or student ASEEES members listed as convention participants and must register for the convention, with priority given to graduate students, early-career scholars, and contingent faculty if funds are limited. Applications are due September 1, and only one parent per child or children may apply.
