CORES Multi-Institutional Pilot Award Program

About this program

Consortium of Rural States (CORES), a network of CTSA hubs, is offering the Multi-Institutional Pilot Award Program to fund phased, team-science translational research that addresses health challenges in rural communities, providing mentorship and structured support through team formation (Phase 1), collaborative proposal development (Phase 2), and project execution (Phase 3). The program prioritizes early- and mid-career investigators who form cross-institutional teams spanning participating CTSA hubs and who collaborate with clinicians, implementation scientists, data scientists, and community partners. Eligible projects must align with CORES priorities—data and technology infrastructure for rural health, chronic disease prevention/diagnosis/management, or maternal and infant health—and be implementation-focused, scalable, and positioned for measurable real-world impact and future external funding.
