Cost Share for Federal Clean Energy Funding Opportunities-EPIC Program

About this program

The California Energy Commission offers cost-share funding for applicants that secure awards under eligible U.S. Department of Energy funding opportunity announcements or receive qualifying DOE follow-on funding for previously supported research. Projects may address topics specified by the applicable federal opportunity and must be located wholly or partly in California; real-world demonstrations must occur in PG&E, SCE, or SDG&E service territories. The solicitation is open on an ongoing basis to public and private entities, except local publicly owned electric utilities, and generally requires a 50% match. Awards may support projects for up to 48 months, with amounts dependent on submissions and available funding.
