About this program
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets offers grants of up to $50,000 to counties for the development of agriculture and farmland protection plans. Eligible counties must have an established agricultural board and no existing plan, and they can collaborate with other counties on their application. Applicants must provide a minimum of 20% cash contribution and can include up to 80% in-kind services as part of their funding share.
