Creative Aging Arts Program

About this program

Nebraska Arts Council’s Creative Aging Arts Program (CAAP) provides grants for organizations to hire a CAAP teaching artist to lead sequential arts residencies at senior centers, assisted-living facilities, libraries, and nonprofit organizations serving older adults, with projects culminating in a public showcase. Teaching artists on the CAAP roster are trained in best practices for engaging older adults and deliver skill-building lessons that foster intentional social engagement. Eligible applicants are organizations serving older adults in Nebraska (e.g., senior centers, assisted-living facilities, libraries, nonprofits) and must select a teaching artist from the CAAP roster and comply with the program’s residency and reporting requirements.
