About this program
The Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) offers Creativity Grants of up to $4,000 to support independent artists and arts organizations with either project planning and development or implementation of a specific arts event, activity, or program. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through March 2027, with monthly review periods. Eligible applicants include independent artists and qualifying Maryland nonprofits, local government units, educational institutions, and Model A fiscal sponsorships. Applicants must propose a project occurring within the grant period and may receive only one Creativity Grant per fiscal year, subject to additional MSAC funding restrictions.
