About this program

The Costume Society of America (CSA) invites nominations for its 2027 Scholars’ Roundtable Honor, recognizing costume scholars who will lead a National Symposium discussion on “Watershed Moments: Epiphany through Discovery” in dress scholarship. The honor supports innovative, interdisciplinary perspectives on technological, cultural, political, and community-driven transformations in how dress is created, worn, and understood. Nominees must be CSA members with relevant expertise, innovative work in costume, and demonstrated interest in collaborative, engaging discussion; self-nominations are permitted. Initial nominations are due November 1, 2026, followed by a 200–300-word essay and a CV or résumé of no more than 10 pages due December 1, 2026.
