Cultural Heritage Preservation Award

About this program

The Etruscan Foundation’s Cultural Heritage Preservation Award provides grants of up to $10,000 for professional conservation or preservation of Etruscan and Italic material culture from the Bronze Age through the 1st century BCE. Eligible projects may address objects or sites such as ceramics, stone, glass, metalwork, paintings, murals, and architecture, and should advance the understanding, protection, or preservation of Italy’s archaeological heritage. Applicants must be accredited museums or cultural institutions worldwide and submit an English-language proposal with object provenance and significance, treatment methods and schedule, conservator résumés, budget, and optional images; materials must comply with the Archaeological Institute of America’s Code of Ethics. Applications are due March 1 or October 1, and awardees must submit a final report within 60 days of completing the project.
