Cummings $35 Million Grant Program

About this program

Cummings Foundation’s 2027 Local Grant Program will award $35 million in unrestricted general operating support to 150 Massachusetts nonprofits through three- or 10-year grants, with annual installments ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Funding supports organizations addressing human services, fairness and justice, education, healthcare, and environmental issues in designated greater Boston communities. Eligible applicants must be established 501(c)(3) public charities headquartered in and primarily serving Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, or specified Norfolk County communities, and may not be regional, national, or international organizations. Applicants must submit one online letter of inquiry by September 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.; full applications are due January 13, 2027, for organizations invited to apply.
