About this program
The Council on Undergraduate Research, in partnership with the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation, offers the CUR-Goldwater Scholars Faculty Mentor Award to recognize outstanding STEM faculty mentors of Goldwater Scholars. The award includes national recognition and $5,000 to the recipient’s institution to support the mentor’s research program and/or current undergraduate researchers. Nominees must conduct research in a Goldwater-defined STEM discipline and have mentored at least three Goldwater Scholars during their career; initial nominations are due November 13, 2026.
