Curran Fellowship

About this program

The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) offers at least six Curran Fellowships annually, providing up to $6,000 for research and travel related to the British periodical press of the long nineteenth century (approximately 1780–1914). Funds may cover direct research expenses, including transportation, lodging, reproduction costs, and database subscriptions, but not indirect costs; applications are due October 15, with letters due October 22. Applicants should propose projects centered on periodicals as primary objects of study, using print, manuscript, or digital sources; RSVP membership is generally not required, but the organization’s officers and directors are ineligible.
