Curtis Gates Lloyd Fellowship

About this program

The Lloyd Library & Museum offers the Curtis Gates Lloyd Fellowship to support research using its collections in fields including botany, ethnobotany, natural history, conservation, and the history of science, medicine, or pharmacy. Fellowships run for one to three months between January and December 2027, with monthly stipends of $2,000 for local applicants and $3,000 for applicants from outside the region. Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, conduct on-site research at least 20 hours per week, and submit a curriculum vitae and two recommendation letters by November 1, 2026. Fellows must produce a public-facing deliverable and presentation and acknowledge the Lloyd in resulting publications or media.
