Dan & Hope Rigel Educational Grant

About this program

The Association of Applied Paleontological Sciences (AAPS), with support from sponsors and private donors, offers the $1,000 Dan & Hope Rigel Educational Grant to fund student collecting trips or the purchase of rock, mineral, and fossil specimens for educational use. The grant may be divided among multiple recipients, with awards determined by demonstrated need and the proposed use of funds. Applicants need not be AAPS members but must submit an application letter, school letterhead confirming the application, a copy of their faculty card, and a current photograph. Applications must be received by November 1 to be considered for the following calendar year.
