Dermatology Foundation Research Grant

About this program

The Dermatology Foundation offers annual $25,000 research grants to enable investigators to initiate dermatology-focused projects; applicants must submit a detailed budget and a research/development proposal. Award funds may not be used for indirect costs, principal investigator salary, or PI travel. Funded research must be conducted in the U.S. under the sponsorship of an ACGME‑approved dermatology department/division, and degree-year eligibility is MD/MD‑PhD/DO ≤12 years and PhD ≤8 years beyond the terminal degree as of January 1, 2027. Applications are submitted via the CDAFG portal by October 15, 2026; applicants from minority and underserved populations are encouraged and research addressing their health issues is welcome.
