About this program

The ACS Division of Chemical Education (DivCHED) provides up to $25,000 for special projects within the division or sponsorship of external nonprofit activities that advance chemistry education and support DivCHED members. Proposals are accepted year-round and reviewed during scheduled submission cycles, with deadlines of February 1, June 1, and October 1. Internal requests must come from or on behalf of DivCHED members, while external requests must be submitted by a nonprofit entity; all proposals must be written to the DivCHED Chair and explain fund use, mission alignment, anticipated impact, and sponsorship recognition. Awardees must submit a brief outcomes and expenditure report within one month after the project or event, and funds must be used within 18 months.
