Donald Oken Fellowship

About this program

The Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine offers the Donald Oken Fellowship to recognize one Consultation-Liaison psychiatrist or internist and support participation in its Annual Meeting. The award provides complimentary registration, itemized travel expenses, a $1,000 honorarium, and opportunities for meaningful engagement with the Society. Nominees should hold senior leadership roles, conduct clinical or basic research, and demonstrate effective teaching or mentorship; preference is given to individuals who have not previously attended an SBSM meeting. Recipients must attend the full meeting, stay in the conference hotel’s SBSM room block, and participate through a presentation, poster, workshop, or roundtable; nominations are due September 15, 2026.
