Dr. Constantin Cope Medical Student Research Award

About this program

The SIR Foundation offers the Dr. Constantin Cope Medical Student Research Award to recognize an outstanding student-authored abstract that demonstrates inventiveness and scientific rigor in interventional radiology. Up to four recipients receive complimentary registration to the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting and a travel award of up to $1,000.

Applicants must be the primary author and oral presenter of an accepted abstract, be enrolled at an accredited medical school, and have made a meaningful contribution to original research conducted under the guidance of at least one SIR member. Applications are due by 5 p.m. ET on November 15, 2026; the abstract submission deadline is September 24, 2026.
