Dr. Gary J. Becker Young Investigator Award

The SIR Foundation’s Dr. Gary J. Becker Young Investigator Award recognizes outstanding clinical science research by early-career interventional radiologists and promotes academic careers. The recipient receives a $3,000 honorarium plus complimentary registration, transportation, and lodging for the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting. Applicants must be SIR members in good standing, within seven years of completing an interventional radiology fellowship, and no higher than assistant or associate professor; the eligible manuscript must be an original clinical science paper published in JVIR within the past year. Applications require a CV, manuscript, photograph, contribution statement, and a letter of support, and are due by 5 p.m. ET on November 15, 2026.
