Dr. Iverson Bell, Jr. Faculty Fellowship Award

About this program

The AADPRT Dr. Iverson Bell, Jr. Faculty Fellowship Award supports the professional development and leadership pipeline of outstanding Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) psychiatrists through an education innovation project. One annual awardee receives a $500 honorarium, travel and registration for an AADPRT Annual Meeting, mentorship, and opportunities to present the project and participate in the AADPRT J.E.D.I. Committee. Nominees must be junior faculty at the instructor or assistant professor level, or hold equivalent status in a community-based medical system, identify as URiM under AAMC criteria, and be nominated by an AADPRT member institution in good standing. Applications require a training director’s letter, statement of interest, curriculum vitae, and a project proposal addressing the background, goals, methodology, evaluation, and dissemination plan; nominations are due September 22 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
