Dr. Mario Pagenel Fellowship in Global Mental Health Delivery

Partners In Health and Harvard Medical School, in collaboration with the Chester M. Pierce MD Division of Global Psychiatry at Mass General Hospital and Mass General Brigham, offer the Dr. Mario Pagenel Fellowship in Global Mental Health Delivery—a 1–2 year (with possible extension) career development post to support locally led mental health care in low- and middle-income countries using an interdisciplinary Social Medicine framework. Fellows engage in three core components—clinical service delivery, training and capacity building of in-country providers, and mentored research and educational projects—while being employed by PIH with a Research Fellow appointment at HMS. Eligible applicants are early- or mid-career psychiatrists or graduating senior psychiatric residents willing to work at PIH global sites (Latin America & the Caribbean, East & Southern Africa, West Africa) and to lead capacity-building, clinical, and research activities.
