About this program

The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) offers up to $5,000,000 in funding through its Drug Development RFP to support IND-enabling studies and early-phase clinical trials for innovative pharmacological interventions and devices targeting Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Focus areas include combination therapies, disease-modifying agents, and novel drug mechanisms related to aging, excluding anti-amyloid approaches and cholinesterase inhibitors.

Applicants must provide compelling evidence for the proposed mechanism, preliminary data, and a strong investigative team. Eligible applicants include researchers and clinicians worldwide from academic medical centers, universities, nonprofits, and biotechnology companies, with industry partnerships strongly encouraged. Clinical trials must register on ClinicalTrials.gov.
