Early-Career Anatomist Publication Award

About this program

The American Association for Anatomy offers the Early-Career Anatomist Publication Award to recognize the best publication by an early-career anatomist in each of its three journals: Anatomical Sciences Education, Developmental Dynamics, and The Anatomical Record. Up to three awards are presented annually, each including a $1,000 honorarium, complimentary Annual Meeting registration, and up to $1,750 in travel reimbursement. Eligible applicants are students, postdocs, or untenured assistant professors who are first or last author of an eligible paper published in the preceding calendar year; review articles are excluded. Applicants must join AAA and pay dues for the award year, submit the manuscript title and PDF by October 19, 2026, and attend the Annual Meeting to accept the award.
