Early-Career Artist Project Grant

About this program

Forecast Public Art, with support from the Jerome Foundation, offers two $8,000 Early-Career Artist Project Grants for new temporary or permanent public artworks created anywhere in Minnesota during January 1–November 30, 2027. Applications close October 18, 2026, and projects must be free and accessible to the public with a secured site and written site approval by the deadline. Applicants must be Minnesota-based, vocational early-career artists with generally 2–10 years of experience developing their own work; private commissions are not eligible. Applications require a proposal, community connection and career-impact statements, résumé, budget, work samples, and site permission.
