Early-Career Artist Research + Development Grant

About this program

Forecast Public Art, with support from the Jerome Foundation, offers four $2,500 Early-Career Artist Research + Development Grants for Minnesota-based artists conducting public art research, planning, community engagement, site or budget development, or model building. Grant-funded activities must support a freely accessible public art installation or activity in Minnesota and take place January 1–November 30, 2027; private commissions are ineligible. Applicants must be vocational artists in the early stages of their careers, generally with 2–10 years of experience developing their own work, and submit proposals, career information, a résumé, and work samples through Submittable by October 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST.
