Early-Career Artist Research + Development Grant

About this program

Forecast Public Art, with support from the Jerome Foundation, offers four $2,500 grants for Minnesota-based early-career artists conducting public art research, development, or planning for a freely accessible installation or activity in Minnesota. Grant-funded activities may include research, community dialogue, site or budget development, proposal preparation, and model building, from January 1 through November 30, 2027. Applicants must be vocational artists generally with 2–10 years of experience developing their own work and may not use funds for private commissions; age is not a determining factor. Applications, including a proposal, community benefit statement, résumé, and work samples, are due through Submittable by October 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST.
