Ed A Hewett Book Prize

About this program

The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies, sponsored by the University of Michigan’s Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, awards the annual Ed A. Hewett Book Prize and a cash award for an outstanding monograph on the political economy of Russia, Eurasia, or Eastern Europe published in the preceding calendar year. Eligible works must be original English-language monographs, preferably by one or no more than two authors; textbooks, translations, reference works, bibliographies, and self-published books are excluded. Authors or publishers may nominate a book, submitting the nomination form by April 15 and ensuring copies reach the committee by May 15; books may be nominated for no more than two ASEEES prizes.
