Edward J. Latessa Practitioner Research Award

About this program

The American Society of Criminology’s Division on Corrections and Sentencing offers the Edward J. Latessa Practitioner Research Award to recognize outstanding social science research or implementation that improves policy or organizational effectiveness in community corrections, institutional corrections, or the judiciary. The award includes recognition, an opportunity to present at the ASC annual meeting, and reimbursement of up to $500 for meeting attendance. Eligible nominees are practitioners, researchers, or policy analysts employed by federal, state, or local government agencies whose work demonstrates meaningful translation of research into organizational change. Nominations must include a letter and curriculum vitae and be emailed to Linsey Belisle by August 31, 2026, with “Practitioner Research Award Nomination” in the subject line.
