About this program
The Genetics Society of America offers the Edward Novitski Prize to recognize creative and intellectually ingenious experimental work that advances genetics research, whether through a single accomplishment or a body of work. Nominations are due October 1, 2026, and may recognize up to two individuals at any career stage. Nominees must be GSA members, and the contributing work must be published in one or more peer-reviewed publications. Nominations require a cover letter, NIH-style biosketch, lived-experience statement, and responses describing the work’s novelty and contributions.
