EHA Advanced Research Grant

About this program

The European Hematology Association (EHA) offers Advanced Research Grants of up to €240,000 over three years to support basic and translational, laboratory-based hematology research. Applications close at 16:00 CEST on September 29, 2026, with winners announced by mid-April 2027. Applicants must be EHA members conducting research at an academic or equivalent institution in Europe, have departmental and institutional support, a PhD or PharmD awarded within eight years of the deadline (subject to life-event extensions), and at least one first-author publication. Purely clinical, health economics, and other non-laboratory research are ineligible; hemoglobinopathy projects and applicants from underrepresented countries may receive a competitive advantage.
