About this program
The European Hematology Association (EHA) offers Kick-off Grants of up to €50,000 for up to two years to support early-career researchers conducting novel, hypothesis-driven basic or translational laboratory research in hematology. Funding may cover part of the applicant’s salary, laboratory consumables, limited equipment, and required attendance at the EHA Congress. Applicants must be EHA members working at an academic research institution in an underrepresented country, with departmental and institutional support, and must have received their PhD or MD within eight years of the deadline; current PhD students are ineligible. Applications must address a new research question that can be tested within two years and are due by 16:00 CEST on September 1, 2026.
