About this program
The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) offers the Ellet H. Drake Memorial Award to honor a practicing physician who has advanced innovative laser procedures or products for medicine. The recipient receives a plaque and $1,000 at the ASLMS Annual Conference and must deliver a lecture. Nominees must be practicing physicians with at least five years of experience, demonstrated contributions to laser medicine through innovation, publications, or teaching, and strong verbal communication skills. ASLMS membership is not required; nominations for the 2027 awards are due September 1, 2026.
