About this program

The Elsa U. Pardee Foundation supports one-year cancer research projects at U.S. nonprofit institutions, emphasizing new treatments, cures, detection methods, or innovative approaches likely to lead to subsequent government funding. Applicants may request a reasonable amount based on project scope, with overhead generally limited to 5% and essential equipment capped at $5,000. Proposals must include a research plan, preliminary results, personnel and budget information, current and pending support, and evidence of nonprofit status and applicable human-subject or animal-use approvals before project initiation. Applications are accepted three times annually, with deadlines of December 1, April 30, and August 31.
