Equity Fund

About this program

Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s Equity Fund supports community-centered projects led by or holistically serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), with emphasis on racial and social justice, economic empowerment, educational and health equity, leadership development, and cultural heritage. Grants average approximately $10,000, with larger requests reviewed by the Leadership Advisory Committee. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, fiscally sponsored community groups and coalitions, and certain individuals in Columbia and Northeast Dutchess Counties, N.Y., Berkshire County, Mass., and Northwest Litchfield County, Conn. Priority is given to BIPOC-led or community-embedded initiatives demonstrating collaboration, community impact, and alignment with the fund’s equity priorities; applications are due June 15 or October 15 annually.
