About this program
The Society for Applied Anthropology offers the Erve Chambers Tourism and Heritage Student Paper Award to recognize innovative student research on tourism or heritage, including ecotourism, archaeology, and cultural resource management. The competition awards $300 for first place and $150 each to two honorable mentions, with selected papers presented at the SfAA Annual Meeting. Applicants must be enrolled undergraduate or graduate students when submitting, and papers must be original, publishable work with a student as first author. Applicants submit an abstract of up to 500 words by September 15 and, if selected, a full paper by December 15; award recipients must attend the annual meeting.
