ESPID Young Investigator Award

About this program

The European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) offers up to two annual Young Investigator Awards—one for clinical research and one for basic research—to recognize outstanding early-career investigators in paediatric infectious diseases. Each award provides €5,000 for research at the host institution, an ESPID Annual Meeting medal and presentation opportunity, and covered registration, travel, and accommodation. Applicants must be good-standing ESPID members with fees paid in full, meet Young ESPID Membership criteria by the 31 October 2026 deadline, and submit an English-language application including a detailed CV and statement of contributions and future goals. Current members of ESPID’s Committee for Scientific Affairs and Awards or Board are ineligible, and funds may not be used for institutional overhead or infrastructure costs.
