ESSM Basic Scientist Travel Grants 2026-2027

About this program

The European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM) invites applications for Basic Scientist Travel Grants to support basic scientists attending the ESSM Annual Congress in Valencia, Spain (4–6 Feb 2027), awarding free registration and €500 travel expenses to ten members. Applications are due 31 August 2026 with decisions expected in November 2026; submit required documents to essm.grants@gmail.com. Applicants must have been ESSM members for at least one year with membership fees paid, hold an academic position in a research institution or hospital, and demonstrate active Congress participation (e.g., abstract submission, session chairing, or invited speaker). Required materials are a brief CV, a letter explaining why other funds cannot be obtained, and a support letter from the head of department confirming academic position and that the applicant is not actively engaged in clinical work; incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
