About this program

The European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM) offers one research grant of up to €30,000 for an 18-month novel, ambitious preclinical or clinical project addressing an unmet need in sexual medicine. The grant may support eligible project costs, including part or all of a PhD student stipend, but excludes tuition, permanent staff time, and facility rent. Applicants must be ESSM members who have paid membership fees regularly for at least the previous two consecutive years and must submit a signed application, required documents, and the principal investigator’s CV by 31 August 2026. Prior grant recipients and lead organizations subject to the stated exclusion rules may be ineligible; incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
