EST Translation Prize (EUR 2,000)

About this program

The European Society for Translation Studies offers the EST Translation Prize (EUR 2,000, awarded biannually) to support the translation, editing and/or publication of a book or group of articles in Translation Studies (including interpreting and localization); the prize may go to an individual translator, a group of translators, or an academic publisher/journal. Applicants must be EST members at the time of application; translations may be from any language into any language but must not have been published prior to the award (six weeks after the 2026-10-01 deadline), and payment follows acceptance by a publisher of at least one sample chapter. Submit a two-page project justification, CV(s) of translator(s), the text to be translated, and any publisher agreements/expressions of interest by email to Isabelle Robert (isabelle.robert@uantwerpen.be); applications are judged on international impact, feasibility (timeline and budget), and translator experience.
