EST Translation Prize

About this program

The European Society for Translation Studies offers its biennial Translation Prize of EUR 2,000 to support the translation, editing, and/or publication of key texts in Translation Studies, including interpreting and localization, in any language combination. Applications are due by 1 October 2026, and the project must not have been published before the prize is awarded. Applicants must be EST members and may be individual translators, translator teams, academic publishers, or journals. Proposals should demonstrate international impact, feasibility, translator experience, a publication timeline and cost breakdown, and include a CV, the text to be translated, and relevant publisher or rights agreements.
