Etta Zuber Falconer Lecture

About this program

The Association for Women in Mathematics and the Mathematical Association of America jointly present the annual Etta Zuber Falconer Lecture, honoring a woman with distinguished contributions to the mathematical sciences or mathematics education. The selected lecturer delivers a one-hour expository presentation at MAA MathFest, receives a $1,000 honorarium and certificate, and is featured in the AWM Newsletter. Nominees may be of any nationality or citizenship, must be living at the time of nomination, and nominations of women from underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged. Any individual may nominate, including through self-nomination; materials must include a nomination letter addressing the candidate’s contributions and expository lecture ability, plus a curriculum vitae of no more than three pages, submitted August 1–September 15 via MathPrograms.org.
