Extramural Large Grant for Poverty and Economic Mobility Research

About this program

The Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin–Madison offers annual Extramural Large Grants of up to $50,000 for research on poverty, economic mobility, and human services. Projects must be completed within 24 months, with calls typically released in late November or early December and requiring a letter of interest followed by a full proposal. Principal Investigators must hold a doctorate or appropriate terminal degree and be affiliated with an eligible university; independent researchers, foreign entities, UW–Madison faculty, and postdoctoral fellows are ineligible.
