EyeFind Research Grants

About this program

The ARVO Foundation’s EyeFind Research Grants provide supplemental awards of up to $5,000 to support procurement of human eye tissue from approved eye banks for well-conceived ophthalmic and vision research projects. Funds may cover tissue and shipping costs only, with applications accepted April 1–May 31 and September 1–October 31 annually. Applicants must be ARVO members or affiliated with an EBAA-member eye bank, hold an MD, PhD, DVM, DO, OD, or equivalent degree, and conduct independent research at a nonprofit or academic institution with appropriate infrastructure and demonstrated financial need. Applicants must use an EyeFind-listed eye bank and submit a project description, institutional support letter, eye-bank commitment letter, biosketch, and required IRB and policy compliance affirmations.
