About this program
The ARVO Foundation’s EyeFind Research Grants provide supplemental awards of up to $5,000 to support the procurement of human eye tissue from approved eye banks for well-conceived ophthalmic and vision research projects. Funds may cover tissue and shipping costs only and are paid to the applicant’s nonprofit or academic research center without overhead. Applicants must be ARVO members or affiliated with an EBAA member eye bank, hold an advanced or equivalent professional degree, demonstrate independent research capacity and financial need, and work at a nonprofit or academic institution. Applications require a project description, institutional support letter, eye-bank commitment letter, biosketch, and evidence of IRB and policy compliance; applications are accepted April 1–May 31 and September 1–October 31.
